Universal Braille display drivers

All Handy Tech Braille displays are capable to communicate the model type and amount of Braille cells to a connected device or computer. Intelligent driving software, like the Handy Tech Universal Driver, can utilize this information to control various kinds of computer platforms. To use a Handy Tech Braille display with your computer you will not have to install any driver or alter settings to select a specific Braille display model. Every Braille display model manufactured by Handy Tech uses the same software component, our universal Braille Display Driver.

This driver is integrated in all major screen readers, like Window-Eyes, HAL/Supernova, System Access, Cobra, JAWS or NVDA. After starting a screen reader, the model connected to the PC, as well as the interface (USB or wireless via Bluetooth) used is automatically detected. You will only have to select Handy Tech in the settings of your screen reader to be able to use your display. Most Handy Tech Braille displays have an integrated HID connection. With HID it is no longer necessary to install specific USB driver software.
